It is with a mountain of sadness that we announce the loss of Dr. Thomas (Tom) Andrew Peebles way too soon. Tom was just 48 years old, and he was the best of the best. "Tommy" as he was affectionately known by his parents (Andy and Pat Peebles), brothers (Scott and Patrick) and close friends, grew up in the Vernon area and loved his time spent on the farm. After obtaining his medical degree, Tom lived in Grand Prairie where he became the Chief of the Emergency Department and was the loving father to three daughters Brooke, Ava, and Scarlett. Tom loved being a Dad and having fun any chance he could by telling jokes, going on adventures and laughing. Tom was always willing to help others which was evident with his career, in school and when anyone needed advice or an empathetic ear.
A Celebration of Life will be held for Tom on August 5th, 2023, at his family's farm where he grew up. Tom always loved a good party and a gathering of everyone (including kids) he knew and loved. The celebration starts at 4 p.m., with casual dress, and an open mic for everyone to share their best Tom/Tommy stories and enjoy some good food and drink. Camping for those who wish to do so can be arranged with Pat by RSVP'ing by July 21st, 2023, phone 250-540-2370 and to anyone who will be attending to RSVP by July 28th. Charcuterie, salads, desserts, and an open bar for all to enjoy. Everyone Welcome.
