Vernon’s Olivia Penalva, better known as Olivia these days, is continuing on her success as a hit-making singer-songwriter.
After hitting the charts with her Christmas single, Christmas for Two, which hit #17 on Canadian radio this past Christmas, the 16-year-old has released her lead-out single, Outshine the Stars, which garnered a top-100 position on the Canadian pop radio charts.
“In one year, Olivia has had 2,500 new YouTube subscribers. She has hit 500,000 views, and recently had one of her cover songs, One Call Away, hit 100,000 views, so she is doing pretty good,” says proud mom Tatyana Penalva.
Olivia has released a brand-new EP, Weightless, which was recently hailed as one of the most “delicious EPs of 2016” by Canadian Music Blog.
Three of the tracks on the EP recently garnered Olivia semi-finalist positions in five categories in the global Unsigned Only Competition.
Olivia also recently won Artist of the Year in the Starlight Music Chronicles teen category.
The latest track off Weightless, Skyline, just hit radio and there is a new remix of the single also available.
