According to a press release from the City of Revelstoke, Revelstoke Fire Crews extinguished the fire in Big Eddy in the morning of April, 15.

A Facebook post shared by Revelstoke Fire Services said that the barn structure was a “total loss.” The press release stated that there were several calls to 911, with reports of a barn that was possibly “ablaze.”

“Engine 1 responded with two firefighters, immediately followed by the fire chief in truck 9. The barn was fully engulfed by fire on arrival. Engine 1 stretched a single handline and began attacking the fire as additional firefighters and apparatus began to arrive on the scene. A water supply was established by engine 2 while additional firefighters pulled a second and third handline to begin extinguishment and exposure protection,” read a press release.
