A new place for labratory tests and other healthcare services will soon open doors in Vernon.
A ribbon cutting ceremony for the new Dynacare Laboratory and Health Services Centre at 102-5240 Anderson Way will take place Thursday, April 4, at 4:30 p.m.
The spacious location features state-of-the-art Dynacare technology to go along with ample free parking. With the opening of the centre, Dynacare aims to enhance access to health services in the community.
In addition to blood and urine collection and testing, the Dynacare site offers national testing services such as the Harmony non-invasive prenatal test.
The centre will be open in Vernon weekdays from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., with extended hours for appointment-only online bookings on Wednesdays until 8 p.m.
The Valley Medical Laboratories location on 31st Street closes on Friday, April 5, at 4 p.m., and that team will open the Anderson Way centre on Monday, April 8, at 7:30 a.m. Services and hours for the downtown location at 101-3207 30th Ave. will remain unchanged.
Dynacare is a Canadian health and wellness provider with a history dating back more than 50 years. It serves more than 11 million Canadians every year with 170 laboratory and health services centres, eight laboratories and 11 offices across Canada.
Local dignitaries including Vernon Mayor Victor Cumming are expected to attend the ribbon cutting.
