Vernon firefighters were called out to Centennial Drive early Tuesday morning for a rescue mission, after a senior drove off an embankment.

The woman went over a small hill, nearly hitting a sign and power box.

The firefighting crew were able to safely remove the woman, and no injuries have been reported.

“Paramedics assessed one patient at scene but did not transport the patient to hospital,” said Paramedic Public Information Officer Brian Twaites.
