Water restrictions that were put in place in three North Okanagan communities have been rescinded.

Customers supplied by the Grindrod, Whitevale and Mabel Lake Water Utilities have had their water conditions return to normal.

Although the restrictions have been rescinded, the Regional District of North Okanagan (RDNO) is reminding customers that due to the dry climate, water conservation should be practiced routinely to protect the streams.

Additionally, due to changing weather conditions, winterizing taps to prevent leaks is encouraged. Removing hoses and protecting exposed pipes from freezing temperature will help avoid cracks and leaks in the spring.

Future water updates can be seen at rdno.ca/news. Email updates can be provided at rdno.ca/subscribe.
