Boating season is right around the corner in the North Okanagan.
The Vernon Yacht Club are preparing for water-hungry residents with their annual boat show, to take place Saturday, May 4, from 9 a.m to 5 p.m., and Sunday, May 5, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
More than 40 boats will be on the water, a collection of new and used.
A free park and ride shuttle will be provided Marshall Field, as there is no parking available at the boat show. The shuttles will be running every 10 minutes.
Beyond the pristine boats, there will also be a paddleboard and kayak demo station, put on by Innerspace Watersports.
“May and June are some of the best times to enjoy our lakes and rivers before they are busy with tourists and wildfire season is a risk,” said a spokesperson from Innerspace. “For that reason, the Innerspace team will be bringing the annual Demo Days to the Vernon Boat Show this year, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on both days.”
