1 dead following Trans-Canada Highway crash west of Revelstoke

A 65-year-old man is dead following a head-on collision on the Trans-Canada Highway 1 west of Revelstoke, on Thursday, March 21, morning.

At about 7:30 a.m. Thursday morning, Revelstoke and Sicamous RCMP responded to an incident on Highway 1 west of Revelstoke near the Enchanted Forest.

A sedan and commercial transport truck had crashed head-on and the driver of the sedan, a 65-year-old man, died at the scene.

The driver and passenger of the commercial vehicle were transported to the hospital with minor injuries.

The identity of the deceased occupant of the sedan hasn’t been released by the RCMP as they notified the driver’s next of kin.
