One break-in to a construction site was solved, while Vernon RCMP are asking for the public’s help to solve a break-in at a locked compound.
Sometime overnight between Dec. 4 and 5, somebody cut the gate to a fenced compound in the 2300 block of 50th Avenue and made off with some heavy products.
“Numerous items were taken including a fuel tank for a fork lift and a pair of radiators, one of which was brass,” said Vernon RCMP Const. Jocelyn Noseworthy.
Anybody with any information on the incident is asked to call the Vernon RCMP at 250-545-7171, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
Neighbours, meanwhile, alerted police to a theft in progress shortly before 10 p.m. on Dec. 5 at a construction site in the 5000 block of 27th Avenue.
“Police attended and found a man inside one of the sheds at that location. He was arrested,” said Noseworthy.
Felix Harris, 30, has been charged with break and enter and possession of break-and-enter tools. He was remanded in custody pending an appearance in Vernon Provincial Court.
