Body discovered in Vernon Creek

On Saturday at about 8 a.m., RCMP responded to a call of a body in the creek

Police are investigating the discovery of a body on Vernon Creek.

On Saturday at about 8 a.m., RCMP responded to a call of a body in the creek near 34th Street and 23rd Avenue.

RCMP, B.C. Ambulance Service, and the Vernon Fire Department attended and located the body of a 47-year-old man.

The B.C. Coroner's Service attended the scene and secured the deceased.

The RCMP are continuing to investigate this matter, in conjunction with the B.C. Coroner's Service.
