There’s some scammers posing as City of Vernon employees.

The City of Vernon has received reports from residents who have had people claiming to represent the city coming to their door on the pretext of inspecting hot water heaters and other appliances.

“Be aware that these people are not city employees or representatives, and should be reported immediately to the RCMP by calling 250-545-7171,” said Tanya Laing Gahr, city communications officer.
