Highway 97 north of Summerland will be closed in both directions for an hour and a half on Thursday, May 9.
The planned delay is from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. as a result of blasting from Callan Road and North Beach Road. Crews have been working on the 1.5-kilometre section of highway since a rock slide in late August, 2023.
In addition to the lengthy closure on May 9, there are intermittent closures of 15 to 20 minutes during the day. Motorists are advised to expect delays on this portion of the highway.
