Housing construction ended on a positive note in 2016.
The Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation reports there were 325 housing starts last year in Vernon compared to 292 in2015. Of the 325 starts, there were 164 single units and 161 multiple units.
In December in Vernon, there were 17 starts, down from 19 during the same month in 2015. Of the 17 starts, there were 15single units and two multiple units.
