Housing starts steady

There were 19 housing starts in September compared to 39 during the same month in 2015

There’s been a bit of a setback but housing construction remains strong in Vernon.

There were 19 housing starts in September compared to 39 during the same month in 2015. Of the 19 starts, there were 13 single-detached units and six multiple units.

Year-to-date, the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation says there have been 261 starts in Vernon compared to 219 during the first nine months of 2015.
