The winners have been announced!

Anyone who put their name in the draw to win tickets for the Hockeyville NHL game taking place Sunday, Oct. 2, can see if they've won either game or practice tickets.

Winners can pick up their tickets Saturday and Sunday (Sept. 24 & 25) from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Lumby Chamber of Commerce visitor centre.

"You have to have a heartbeat and pulse and you have to come down here with ID to get your ticket," said Angie Clowry, Hockeyville organizer.

Seats are assigned.

"But here's the thing, most of us know each other, so we could switch," Angie Clowry. "We're all going to be friends in there."

Those who cannot attend the game are reminded that the tickets do state that they are non-transferable.

Those who cannot pick up their winning tickets this weekend will lose them.

"We have to wait until 2 p.m. on Sunday if those tickets are not picked up at that time they will be forfeited."

The practice between the LA Kings and Edmonton Oilers takes place at 9:30 a.m. at Kal Tire Place followed by the game at 6 p.m.

There is a full weekend of activities planned in Lumby as part of the festivities.

One event is a free family skate at the Pat Duke Memorial Arena from 12:20 to 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 2.

"I encourage you if you have kids, be at the arena because there may or may not be some NHLers there," said Clowry. "I can't confirm or deny that."
