A visitor to Falkland had quite an adventure.
A man in his 50s went out for a walk Thursday and when he didn’t return to where he was visiting, he was reported missing at about 5 p.m.
Kamloops Search and Rescue responded with assistance from Vernon Search and Rescue.
Searchers were on scene throughout the night and the man was found before 8 a.m. Friday.
“He’s fine and all is good,” said Leigh Pearson, with Vernon SAR.
Even with the weather warming up, being outside at night can prove challenging.
“It’s cold enough. At this time of the year, it’s easy to become hypothermic because it gives ouy a false sense of security,” said Pearson.
