Missing woman thought to be in Vernon found

Kayla Foster is believed to be in Vernon or Kelowna.

The woman who was reported missing on Aug. 10 has been located.

Kaylee Foster, 26, has been found, since a missing persons report was filed after she was last seen in Kelowna Aug. 6.

"The Kelowna RCMP is pleased to confirm that the 26-year-old woman reported missing has been located, and she is safe and sound," said Cst. Jesse O’Donaghey. "Thanks to the media and public for your assistance."

The RCMP are seeking the the public’s assistance to locate a missing Kelowna resident.

Kaylee Foster, 26, was last seen Aug. 6.

“There is nothing to indicate foul play at this time and police believe she is either in Kelowna or Vernon,” said Cst. Jesse O’Donaghey.

“Since Foster’s disappearance, police have followed up on several leads and possible sightings. Police are very concerned for Foster’s health and well-being and friends and family report that it is out of character for her to be out of contact for this long.”

She is described as a Caucasian, five-foot-four and 122 pounds, with long, dark brown hair with a purple tinge. She has brown eyes and was last seen wearing black capri pants, a black tank top and pink flip flop sandals. She was carrying a blue and red beach bag.
