The North Okanagan-Shuswap School District will hold public meetings in Armstrong and Enderby.

North Okanagan-Shuswap’s lone trustee wants to hear from parents and residents about the future of education.

Mike McKay will hold four public sessions to gather input on many aspects of the school district’s providing educational programs to students.

“Discussions will include, but not be limited to, learning goals for students, long term strategic planning, facility challenges, the status of current school closure motions, and transportation concerns,” states a school district release.

“Your opinion is important. Your input will help guide the official trustee and district staff during important decision-making for 2016-17 and beyond.”

On Oct. 29, community consultation will occur at Sicamous’ Parkview Elementary from 9 a.m. to noon and at Armstrong’s Pleasant Valley Secondary from 1 to 4 p.m.

On Nov. 26, there will be sessions at Salmon Arm’s Shuswap Middle School from 9 a.m. to noon and at Enderby’s A.L. Fortune Secondary from 1 to 4 p.m.
