Okanagan Spirits has once again taken on the world and won.

The Vernon distillery captured five gold, one silver and two bronze medals at the World Spirits Awards in Germany, with the pièce de résistance being the repeat gold medal award for the Laird Of Fintry single malt whisky.

“Talk about owning the podium” said chief executive officer Tyler Dyck.

Along with the Laird of Fintry single malt whisky, gold winners included Taboo absinthe, aquavit, blackcurrant liqueur and haskap liqueur. Silver was awarded to newest liqueur member rhubarb and bronze to the family reserve vodka and Gin de Mononcle, a gin created with renowned chef Martin Picard last summer.

“As a craft distillery that specializes in producing 100 per cent B.C. spirits, we are proud to keep proving our quality on a global scale and continue to showcase what B.C. and Canada is capable of in the world of craft distilling,” said Dyck.
