Canadian defence minister Harjit Sajjan had to leave Vernon prior to scheduled public event

Canada’s defence minister missed a scheduled meet and greet in Vernon Thursday.

Harjit Sajjan, who is in the Okanagan this week, was called away to do ministerial duties, missing a public event put on by the North Okanagan-Shuswap Federal Liberals at a Vernon farm.

Sajjan will return to Vernon Friday to meet cadets at the Vernon Army Cadet Summer Training Centre at the Vernon Army Camp.
