Warmth and friendship are being served by Splatsin volunteers.
A soup lunch is being held at the Splatsin Community Centre Tuesday and Thursday, as well as Dec. 27 and 29 from noon to 2 p.m.
“It is cold outside and volunteers are serving up hot soups, stews, buns, doughnuts, coffee, tea, bannock and oranges,” said Gloria Morgan, organizer.
Support has come from the Splatsin Stsmamlt Program, Sutherland’s Bakery, the Tsm7ksaltn Teaching Centre and others in the community.
“There might be an action adventure movie shown during lunch,” said Morgan.
“Playing cards and crib boards will be available for a friendly game.”
Food donations for the lunches can be dropped off at the Esso just south of Enderby on Highway 97A.
