Kamloops RCMP discovered six stolen vehicles as part of an investigation.

An ongoing investigation by Kamloops RCMP led to the discovery of six stolen vehicles and a tractor-trailer from multiple cities.

On Apr. 2 at about 8:20 a.m., Kamloops RCMP received a report of a stolen Volvo sedan in the 100-block of Clarke Street. Tk’emlúps officers quickly located the vehicle abandoned on a property in the 600-block of Shuswap Road.

At the scene, officers and the Kamloops Crime Reduction Unit found and seized other stolen vehicles and a loaded handgun. The stolen vehicles were from Kamloops, Vernon and Oliver.

“Four people who are known to police were located in the stolen travel trailer, detained, and later released pending further investigation, which includes the assistance of the Forensic Identification Services Unit,” stated Kamloops RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Crystal Evelyn.
