Trans-Canada Highway 1 west of Revelstoke reduced to one lane after washout

The Trans-Canada Highway 1 west of Revelstoke is reduced to one lane alternating traffic.

A washout on the highway, roughly 10 km west of Revelstoke, closed the road Tuesday, March 12, morning but the road has since reopened to one lane alternating traffic. The washout is between Summit Lake OH bridge and Clanwilliam OH bridge.

DriveBC said an assessment is in progress and cautioned drivers to watch for traffic control.

An update is expected from DriveBC.
