Due to saturated field conditions, the City of Vernon is issuing the following playfield closures effective immediately:
Marshall Field soccer fields closed and will reopen on Wednesday, April 19;
Kin Race Track ball diamonds closed and will reopen on Wednesday, April 19;
All other Vernon playfields closed and will reopen on Saturday, April 15.
The playing surfaces are exceptionally soft and can be easily damaged resulting in expensive repairs and long-term field closures. The City thanks our residents and playfield users for their cooperation and their patience.
