Woman of the Year nominees revealed

The nominees have been announced.

Twelve individuals have been nominated for the Vernon Woman of the Year Award.

“This outstanding response shows just what a vibrant community we live in” said Carla Dahlen, with Vernon Women In Business.

“This is our 30th year where the community organization Women in Business has been proud to present this award to deserving women. And this is a record year for nominations.”

The 2017 nominees are:

All 12 individuals will be highlighted at the nomination event April 4 at Okanagan Spirits from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

“Our judges are right now working through their difficult task of evaluating the nominees. Due to the large number of nominees, we will have all 12 nominees presented April 4,” said Dahlen.

“At this event, we will announce the eight nominees who are finalists for the pinnacle Woman of the Year 2017 Award.”

At the May 11 Woman of the Year Gala dinner, the finalists will be honoured and one will be named the 2017 Woman of the Year.
