Work impacts traffic in Vernon

A number of road construction projects are proceeding

Road work is taking place at 33rd Street and 32nd Avenue in Vernon Thursday and Friday.

Motorists are being warned of a number of road projects.

The intersection at 33rd Street and 32nd Avenue in Vernon will be closed to eastbound traffic from 5 a.m. on Thursday until Friday afternoon to complete paving.

Access for westbound traffic along will be limited until the project is complete. Drivers are advised to follow detour signs or choose alternate routes of travel.

Also Thursday and Friday,crews from On the Mark Locates will be repairing a street light conduit along the 3600 block of 14th Street.

Single-lane traffic will be in effect until completion of the project.

And crews from Godard Excavating will be installing a water main along Okanagan Avenue from 16th Avenue to the 4600 block of Okanagan Avenue between Monday and Oct. 31. Single-lane traffic will be in effect during construction between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.
