Alice Catherine Danielsen passed away peacefully on Sunday October 13, 2002 at the Vernon Hospice House at the age of 86 years. Alice was retired from a long term of service as a Federal Government Civil Servant. During the Second World War, she enlisted and served as clerical staff in the RCAF in Torbay, Nfld. Alice took pleasure in being a volunteer for the Canadian Cancer Society in Vernon. She was predeceased by her brother Bob, sister Louise and nephew Don. She is survived by and will be lovingly missed by her brother-in-law Steve, niece Sandy and nephews, Dave and Stephen. A memorial service will be held on Saturday October 19, 2002 at 1:00 pm. from the Pleasant Valley Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Brian Jackson officiating. A reception will follow the service in the Pleasant Valley Tea Room. Those wishing to make memorial contributions in memory of Alice may do so to the Baerge/McMurtry Cancer Clinic, 2101 32nd Street, Vernon, V1T-5L2.
