It is with heavy hearts that we announce that Allan Raines was called to our Lord on Sept 23 2021 at High River Hospital with his family by his side. He was born in Westlock AB on Jan 18, 1946.
He will be sadly missed by his wife Patricia, His daughters, Shelley and Leanne. Grandchildren Melissa, Taylor, James, Cassidy, Ashley and Madison. His sisters: Caren (Bill) Gawryluk , Denise Haydamack , Beverly (Mike) Andruski, Joan (John) Meston, Katie (Ron) Krawchuk, and Shirley(Ron) Hietala. Brothers Malcolm and Dennis. (Teresa) Many Nieces, nephews & cousins.
He was predeceased by his Mom and Dad : Clarence and Agnes Raines of Westlock, AB . A brother Terry Raines and a nephew Jimmy Gawryluk, and brother-in-law Len Haydamack.
He was very proud of the Local Hero award that he received from the town in 2013 for cleaning up 25th Ave. And another award in 2014 from Sun FM and Relish Transport along with a dinner at O'Keefe Ranch for cleaning up 25th Ave also.
Funeral mass will be held at St. James Catholic Church in Okotoks AB on Oct 9, 2021 at 11:30 am with Fr. Vincent officiating.
Unfortunately with covid only 50 people are allowed.
In lieu of flowers donations would be gladly accepted at a breakfast club for a school near you to help feed hungry children, The food bank or the soup kitchen in your town or city to help feed the homeless and/or the working poor. Thank you
