December 16, 1930 - September 11, 2018
Anastasia was born December 16, 1930 in Chipman Alberta. She met the love of her life and married Glen Gates July, 21 1949. They went on to celebrate 68 years of blissful marriage. Although Anastasia spent the majority of her life in Alberta, after retirement they made Vernon their new home; where she felt she lived the best years of her life.
Anastasia is survived by her loving daughter Glenda Sheard of Alberta, Sister Mary Konkolus, Sister in Law Rose Woytowich, The Mackenzie Family; David, Sandie (Glinsbockel), Grandsons Reid & Drew of Vernon, as well as nieces and nephews in B.C. and Alberta. Anastasia was predeceased by her husband Glen Gates (2017), and her beloved grandson Darrel Shane (1997).
Thank you to Dr. George Borchert for his ongoing compassion and care. A memorial service will be held at Faith Baptist Church on Wednesday, September 19 at 2:00 pm. The family is respectfully requesting that In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation can be made to the Vernon Upper Room Mission.
