In Loving Memory ~
Ann Gobeil (nee Panchuk) passed peacefully in her sleep on April 6, 2023, at the age of 85 years at Gateby Care Centre where she made her home for the past seven years.
Ann began life in Gronlid, Saskatchewan on February 11, 1938, as the eldest of John and Dorothy Panchuk's four children.
Ann and her identical twin, Sylvia, were inseparable, completing hairdressing school together and opening a shop in Prince Albert, SK.
Ann had two children, Kari-Dale who was raised by another loving family and Tyler. In the early 1980s, Ann and her son Tyler moved to Sicamous, B.C. to be closer to her family and then to Vernon, B.C. where she spent years caring for her mother.
Motherhood and caring for her son became Ann's purpose and she was a very involved, caring and loving mother.
Ann and her twin, Sylvia, were known for their deep connection, often dressing alike when visiting each other with no prior discussion. In their later years, they enjoyed shopping and running errands together and lived just a block apart.
Ann is predeceased by her parents John and Dorothy, her twin, Sylvia and her husband Royce.
Ann will be lovingly remembered by her son Tyler (Shirley), brothers Orest (Yvonne) and Ted (Jeanette) along with her many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Ann's devotion to her family and faith leaves a long-lasting legacy.
The family would like to thank the staff at Gateby Care Centre for their exceptional care for Ann in her final years and days.
A private family service will take place.
