Anna Cucheran (nee Hohenstein) passed away peacefully on February 9th, 2019 in Hospice at the age of 74 years after a short but hard fought battle with cancer, with her loving husband Mike by her side. Anna was born in Frankenfeld Germany and immigrated to Canada with her family when she was 11 years old. She lived and worked in Edmonton in her earlier years, later moving to Vernon with her parents where she met and married her husband of 47 years, Mike.
Anna was a true angel that put her family above everything else, she leaves behind her husband Mike, daughter Christine (Wayne) Robert, son Rob (Kim) Cucheran, last surviving brother Alex (Ruth) Hohenstein, and 5 grandchildren Hailey and Sofiya Robert, Ellie Cucheran, Ryden and Kolter whom she loved with all her heart. Anna also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and longtime friends. Anyone who knew Anna has fond memories of her and the ability to "put on a spread" she loved having her friends and family together, and that always called for large amounts of food and laughter. Her beautiful smile brightened a room and she always had the best hugs.
She wished to be cremated without a service; there will be a small gathering for family and friends to celebrate Anna's life on Sunday February 17th (for details please contact the PV Funeral Home).
