Arley Sturt

August 24, 1944 – January 9, 2022
We regret to have to announce the passing of Arley at the age of 77 in Enderby of complications of diabetes. Arley was born in Armstrong and lived in Armstrong, Powell River, Canoe, Grindrod and after marriage to wife Mary Ann in July 1966, has lived at Enderby and Grindrod and back to Armstrong in 1979.
In Nov. 2018 Arley went into care at Polson Extended Care in Vernon and into Parkview Place in Enderby in March 2019 until his passing Jan. 9 2022.
Arley worked in the lumber industry first Riverside Ashton Creek then in 1973 to Crown Zellerbach, Crown Forest, Fletcher Challenge, Riverside then Tolko in Armstrong for a period of 45 years.
Arley was predeceased by his dad George Sturt, mom Grace Sturt (Norman) and son Robert Sturt.
He is survived by his wife Mary Ann and daughter Linda; brothers: Bert, Dave, Wayne and sister Barb; nieces, nephews, cousins and also extended family on Mary Ann’s side.
Due to Covid, we will have a get together at a later date. Interment will take place in the family plot at Armstrong/Spallumcheen Cemetery.
