Arnold Johannson

June 15, 1939 - June 22, 2019
Arnold, our beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend, passed peacefully in his sleep on June 22, 2019. His family who will miss him dearly are: wife Sylvia; only begotten son Russ and daughters Tracy, Dawn and Jacqui; sons of choice Frank, Shane and Bobby; nine grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; sisters Emily and Cheryl; loads of nieces and nephews; loads of relatives-in-law; and many children of his heart. He grew up in southern Manitoba and had a successful career with Manitoba Hydro. After retirement, he and his Sylvie moved to the Okanagan, where they created an open and loving home they aptly named Sylvarno, where all were welcome and felt loved. Here many family and friends enjoyed Arnold's open hospitality, his quiet wisdom, his witty humour, his sharp game playing abilities, and the occasional glass of NOG. He will ever be remembered for his generosity, which included sharing his handyman skills and wood creations. We wish to express our deep appreciation for the staff at Noric House for their compassionate care in Arnold's last two years. Celebration of life to take place on August 3 at 2:00 pm at Sylvarno, located on Okanagan Lake at Logan's Landing on Westside Rd, Vernon.
