In loving memory ~
Art was born and grew up in Saskatchewan, finished high school in North Battleford and university in Saskatoon.
After teaching for five years in Saskatchewan, Art moved to Wetaskiwin, Alberta where he met his wife, Jackie. They were married July 4, 1964 and have three children: Laurie Bailer (Kelly), Donna Yargeau (Mike) and Mark Tetrault; four grandchildren: Robbyn Danyluk (Mike), Mariah Bailer, Lindsay Yargeau and Lillian Hangartner (Jack); four great-grandchildren: Ethan, Hallee, Theo and Nina.
Art's faith and love for Jesus and his family (which includes his brothers, sisters, nieces & nephews) was absolute. He loved spending time with his family playing guitar, singing and playing cards. Art was also a great letter writer and asks that "Mention of the three great virtues: Faith, Hope and Love be made (especially love) as I have a lot of that for all of you".
A Celebration of Life will be held at Pleasant Valley Funeral Home, in Vernon, B.C. on April 29, 2023 at 1:00 p.m.
We will miss Art but are comforted in knowing that he is with his beloved wife, Jackie, and Home with Jesus and family who have passed before him.
We wish to express our heartfelt thanks and gratitude to those who cared for Art, including The Hamlets family, Dr. Colin Pienaar and the doctors/nurses/care providers at the Vernon Jubilee Hospital. Your dedication, love and compassion will be cherished and remembered always.
