September 2, 1945 - February 29, 2020
Barry Lappin, 74 of Vernon passed away Saturday, Feb 29, 2020. He was a loving husband to his wife (Cheryl Lappin - deceased), and his partner (Liza Wolfe). He was also a devoted father and grandfather. Barry was born September 2, 1945 and lived most of his younger years in Port Coquitlam. As a young man he married (Cheryl), and started his career in the insurance industry. They moved to several cities within BC, because of his job, but eventually settled on his favorite, Vernon. Barry had a passion for travel, golf, and his grandchildren. He travelled with his wife (Cheryl), and later with his partner (Liza) all over Canada and the world. When he wasn't traveling, he could be found at the Vernon Golf and Country Club, playing golf, or hanging out with his golf buddies ("the Mavericks."). His true passion was his grandchildren. He spent much of his time, supporting their sporting activities.
Barry is survived by his loving partner (Liza Wolfe), his children, and his grandchildren: Curtis (Jen), and Cyle (Lyn), Ava and Jordan, and Wylder and Dylan. In lieu of flowers, donations to the North Okanagan Hospice House would be appreciated.
Celebration of life will be held in the Spring.
