April 3, 1943 to May 22, 2017

The world has lost a shining star and he will never be forgotten. Sadly Bj was taken from us way too early, only 22 days after his diagnosis of cancer.

He leaves behind and a loving wife of 48 years, Pat, his daughter Lisa Gallie and her husband Glenn, and his sons Michael and Dean. He also leaves behind his two granddaughters in Vernon, Myah and Jordyn. His sister Ruth in New Zealand, and many loving nieces and nephew’s will also miss him from abroad.

Bj was a legend. He touched so many lives with a personality that was infectious and larger than life. If you were lucky enough to know him, you will always remember him.

Born in Denmark, he emigrated as a young boy to New Zealand in 1951. He became a ticketed electrician and decided to take that trade and do something extraordinary.

He then journeyed to Canada in 1967 in search of a chance to chase “the dream”. He met Pat and it was a DONE DEAL! They opened NZ Electric and became one of the largest electrical contractors in the Lower Mainland.

His life of unlimited adventures will be remembered and celebrated on June 4, 2017 at the Gallie home at 7977 Silver Star Road at 4:00pm.

Please join us for a toast in true “Bj Style”  with a cold beer and a toast to the man who’s love of life touched so many of us!
