November 2, 1928 - October 9, 2018
With great sadness we regret to announce that our beautiful mother Blanche Wheelhouse went to be with the Lord on October 9th, 2018 at the age of 89 years. Mom was born Minnie Blanche Luck on November 2nd, 1928 in Calgary Alberta, the 4th of 6 children of Ira and Esther Luck. She married the love of her life Harry Wheelhouse in Vernon BC, where they continued to live happily and raise 6 children. Mom especially loved the time in her church and the many friends she made in the Pythian Sisters.
Mom is predeceased by her son baby Walter and husband Harry. She is survived by 6 children; Barry (Elva), Gary (Maria), Eileen (Norm), Glen (Bev), Carol (Dave) and Jay (Val) and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Special thanks to her caregiver Consuelo who gave Mom such loving care in her final years and the staff at Vernon Jubilee Hospital 7th floor for the excellent care given to Mom in her final days.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:30 pm on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at the Emmanuel Baptist Church (3412 15th Avenue, Vernon, BC).
