It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Brian Leslie Milton born August 5, 1950 in London England. Brian passed away peacefully in the Vernon Jubilee Hospital on August 31, 2017 after a courageous battle with cancer
He is survived by his wife and best friend Helen; his step children Kristy (Ryan), Matt (Crystal), Randy (Sandra), granddaughter Amber (Paul) and great grandchildren Dexter, Elijah, Finley; sister Irene (Glen) Dunkin and niece Ami and nephew George of London, England; brothers-in-law Rory White and Jerry (Lauri) White; nieces Nicole, Kara, Jill, Chelsie, and nephew Shane and sister in law Bev Leinweber.
Predeceased by his brother Dave Milton and
his parents Emily and Leslie Milton and niece Laura Dunkin
Brian immigrated to Canada in December 1972 and came to Vernon where he started his career as a taxi driver and drove for Capital Taxi, he drove school bus for a short time before he started driving long haul with Rocky Mountain Transport and wherever we travelled he would say “I took a bridge there”, and in 1998 he started driving for Rick Nickell Trucking until his retirement in August 2015. In his retirement he took up gardening and loved visiting with his neighbors Bob and Lois, he enjoyed going for coffee and just loved being home.
So if Brian ever upset you with what he did, he said or didn’t say he has two words for you “OH WELL”
In lieu of flowers those friends wishing to make memorial contributions in memory of Brian may do so to Cancer Society.
There will be no service as per Brian’s request.
