Brian Petryshen passed away suddenly at Kelowna General Hospital, surrounded by his family at the age of 71.
Brian was a spontaneous, true gentleman with a gift of making everyone feel at ease in his presence. He would talk before he thought on occasion and his laugh was one-of-a-kind and contagious. He was a warm, generous and kind man; an inspiration and mentor who always greeted everyone, even strangers, with humour. Brian lived for his family and his grandkids. He had a heart of gold and took a genuine interest in all of our lives; unconditionally supporting and encouraging us. He will be truly missed by all who loved him and those who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Brian is survived by his wife of 48 years, Mary Ann; children, Stephanie and Amber; son-in-laws, Jim and Rod; sisters, Brenda and Siena; and his beloved grandchildren Ryshen, Lachlyn and step-granddaughter Sasha.
In keeping with Brian's wishes, cremation arrangements have been made and there will be no service. Memorial donations in Brian's memory can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation (4-1551 Sutherland Avenue, Kelowna, BC V1Y 9M9).
