It is with great sadness and shock that we have to announce the sudden passing of our sister, Carmen. She passed away two days short of her 54th birthday.
Carmen was born and raised in the Lavington Vernon area. She did her schooling at Lavington Elementary and Kalamalka Secondary School. One of Carmen's favorite teachers was Mr. Marshall at Lavington Elementary.
Carmen's passion was her pets. She loved them dearly and always referred to them as her babies. Dino and Brewster.
Carmen loved to read. Everything she read was cover to cover. Even her magazines and newspapers. Carmen also loved journaling and writing down in her diaries all the events in her life with beautiful penmanship.
Carmen also loved bargain hunting and shopping. Always looking for good deals and sale items in weekly flyers. Carmen enjoyed dinners out and sharing good times with her friends.
Carmen struggled with her health for many years and tried her best to fight through it, but in the end her body just failed her. She passed peacefully at home far too soon.
Carmen is survived by her sister, Donna, brother Michael, brother Kevin (Susan), sister Nikki (Troy) and niece, Sarah. Lifelong friend, Shelley and close friend John. Also many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Carmen is predeceased by her partner, George (2002), brother Patrick (1985), Baba Edna (2000), mom Vivian (2002), brother in law, Larry (2013) and dad, George (2019).
