Caroline F. Gilbert passed away on March 13, 2022, at Noric House in Vernon, BC with daughter, Sandi Armstrong and her granddaughter, Brooklyn by her side. She leaves behind to mourn her passing her children, Sandi Armstrong and Eric Gilbert, grandchildren, Jonathan Somers, Brooklyn May Frances White, and great grandchild, Noah Somers.
She also leaves behind her brother, Henry Thayer, niece Susan May, nephews Mark Thayer and Michael Thayer, great niece Darcy Thayer, as well as many friends and extended family including Elizabeth Beals & family, The McNabs, Rosemary Rovilla & family, Bob and Margaret Smith, Lloyd and Margaret White, Gord and Donna Riddell, the many people from Thompson, Manitoba and the United Church in Thompson, Manitoba. We would like to extend a special thank you to Betty Chenoweth and Marilyn Erdman, who between the both of them have taken great care of Caroline over the years like family. Caroline's children, are very grateful for all they have done for their mother, may they both be blesse.
Trinity United Church for their love and kindness that have been shown to Caroline over the years, the support from the church was greatly appreciated. Thank you to Carrie-Lynn Daly for her support and kindness in Sandi Armstrong's time of need and thank you for your planting the peonies in your garden this spring in honour of our mother, grandmother and friend.
May the Heavens and Angels celebrate as our mom joins her husband, Joseph Gilbert, her mom, Elise Mildred Dyer, sister-n-law, Harriet Gilbert, sister-n-law, Beryl Thayer, her cousin, Ellen, Uncle Dan and Aunt Frances, Uncle Jessie, Aunt Claira and many more, may they all embrace our mom and rejoice in their long-awaited reunion and continue in peace and love.
