In Loving Memory ~

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a beloved husband, father and grandfather on February 10th, 2024.

Cees was born on April 15th, 1947 in the Netherlands and moved to Canada in 1982, where he and his family embarked on their adventures.

Many will remember him running the Donut Hut in Armstrong in the 80's, and then taking up steel estimating and detailing with A-1 Machine until his retirement, where he demonstrated just what a whiz he was with numbers.

His greatest love however was music. He was an active musician, playing the trumpet, piano, organ and even drums in a Beatles cover band in his youth. Cees conducted choirs and was a founder and conductor of his beloved Salmon Arm Community Band. With music as his constant companion, Cees always had a warm smile and a wave for everybody he met.

He will be missed by all, especially by his wife Hannie; his children, Steve (Ali) and Inge (Aidan); his grandchildren, Ethan, Josh, Jaryn and Layla and a host of dear friends.

A Celebration of Cees's Life will be held at Zion United Church in Armstrong, B.C. Please contact the family at casey.celebration@gmail.com for further details.

As an expression of sympathy, those who wish to do so may send donations in memory of Cees to either the Salmon Arm Community Band or the Aura Chamber Choir.

Cremation arrangements were made with Bethel Funeral Chapel Ltd. 5605-27th Street, Vernon, B.C. V1T 8Z5
