June 2, 1960 - April 22, 2020
We are heartbroken to announce the passing of Charlton (Chuck) Todd Rudeloff on Wednesday, April 22nd, 2020.
Chuck was born on June 2nd, 1960 at Vernon Jubilee Hospital to Samantha Kosty and Carl Rudeloff. In 1961, he and his family moved to North Vancouver, and eventually to a small farm in Cloverdale. In 1978, Chuck graduated from Earl Marriott Secondary School and went on to work at his Dad's shop, Crest Collision, eventually leading him to a long career at ICBC.
In 1984, Chuck married his first love, Marlene, and together they had three beautiful daughters, Madison, Tayler, and Georgia. Following their move from Langley to Vernon in 2002, Chuck and Marlene owned and operated a wine business and raised their girls at their home on Kal Lake. After many years together, Marlene passed away in 2009. In 2010, Chuck met his second love, Lisa, and they started their beautiful life together. They were married in 2017 and continued to reside in Vernon, operating their businesses alongside one another.
Chuck was an old school guy, evident by his passion for cars and bikes, collectible antiques, and vintage signs. Chuck and Lisa had many adventures and memories together and shared a mutual love of motorcycling, old cars, travel, the outdoors, and cooking. He could always be found working on a project in his shop, or on his daily hike in Kal Park with his buddy, J.R., and dog, Joe.
Nothing made Chuck happier than spending time with his family and being a Papa to his grandkids. His daughters will always cherish memories of their summers spent on Kal Lake, family hunting trips, and his goofy sense of humour. Chuck was a brilliant storyteller, able to captivate people with his hilarious anecdotes and adventures (of which he had many). He led his life with character and charisma and will always be remembered for his infectious laugh and charming smile. He was truly larger than life.
Chuck is survived by his loving wife, Lisa; his three daughters, Madison (Alex) Heglund, Tayler Rudeloff, and Georgia Rudeloff; grandchildren, Bowen, Emme, Lotte, and Charlie; mom, Samantha Kosty; siblings, Sabrina Lear, Jeffrey Rudeloff, and Lisa (Richard) Santos; and in-laws, Les and Margaret Holmes, and Paul (Marjorie) Holmes, as well as countless wonderful in-laws, nieces and nephews, and friends. He is predeceased by his first wife, Marlene Rudeloff (nee Wynia); dad, Carl Rudeloff; and brother, Troy Rudeloff.
