It is with deep sorrow we announce the death of Claire Uhlig (nee McNeill) after a short but courageous battle with cancer, on Wednesday, October 23, 2002 at the age of 49 years. She is survived by her beloved husband Joe, and children Wendy and Clayton and step-daughter Tiffany, She is further survived by a large and loving family: parents Jim and Claire McNeill; sisters and brothers; Jean (Jim) Fraser, Judy (Dick) Turner, Jim (Bev) McNeill, Wendy (Peter) Bolton, Linda (Paul) O’Reilly, Kevin (Debbie) McNeill, Patrick McNeill, Joe (Cheryl) McNeill, Margaret (Wes) Mitchell, in-laws Gunter and Ruth Uhlig, Klaus Uhlig, Petra (Glenn) McDonald; 23 nieces, nephews and great-nephews. A private family Committal Service will be held on Wednesday, October 30, 2002. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 30, 2002 at The Lavington Fellowship Baptist Church (9681 School Rd) with Pastor Dithmar Molzahn officiating.
