1924 – 2017

It is with heartfelt sadness that we an-nounce the passing of David Owen Robson Wilson, with his loving family at his side, at the age of 92 years, on January 20th, 2017 in Vernon, BC. July 15, 1924 Dave was born in Indian Head, SK and moved to Moose Jaw when he was two. He served in the RCAF and later attended the University of Saskatchewan. In 1954 he married Jean Spence in Nipawin, SK. For many years Dave worked with Sask Tel, OK Tel, BC Tel and Telus which saw him moving from SK to various places in BC. Dave was a longtime, faithful member of First Baptist Church. He was a kind, gentle man whose family always came first. Dave will be forever loved and missed by his loving wife Jean to whom he was married for 62 years; his children Jim (Barb) Wilson, Debbie (Doug) Runge and Scott Wilson; grandchildren Jennifer, Stephanie and Sylvanna (Cayden). Further cherishing his memory are sisters-in-law Loretta Lyons and Barbara Schuler and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He is predeceased by his parents Ann and Owen Wilson and his brother Jim. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00pm on Thursday, January 26th, 2017 at First Baptist Church (1406 32nd Avenue, Vernon, BC). Those wishing to do so may make a memorial donation in Dave’s memory to a charity of their choice.
