August 6, 1931 - December 7, 2020
Dora was born on August 6th, 1931 in Lashburn, Saskatchewan and was called Home to be with her Lord on December 7th, 2020 at the age of 89 years.
Dora will be lovingly remembered by her only daughter, Milinda (Dietmar); her son, Michael (Linda); her daughter-in-law, Judy; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernst and Irma Haun; her husband, Herbert; and one son, Arnold.
Dora and Herbert were married on November 11th, 1949 in Lloydminster, Saskatchewan and moved to Vernon in 1956. In addition to raising three children Dora worked as a seamstress and was an active member of Peace Lutheran Church.
Dora loved to travel, was an avid collector and is especially remembered for her teddy bear collection. She was always busy with her knitting with family and friends benefiting from her afghans and other projects.
In respecting Dora's wishes, she was cremated and a celebration of her life will take place at a later date when she is laid to rest in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, those who wish to do so may send donations in memory of Dora to the Heron Grove Residents Recreation Fund or Peace Lutheran Church.
The family extends special thanks to the staff at Heron Grove for the attentive care Dora received there.
