Dorothy May (Peers) Fleury passed away peacefully surrounded by family at High River Hospital on October 31, 2017.

Dot was born in Oxbow Saskatchewan on November 8, 1938 later moving to Kingston Ontario where her father had enlisted in the military. Upon completion of his service he then moved the family to Virden Manitoba where Dorothy and her sisters were raised.

She married Jack Kunkel in Virden in 1955 moving to Estevan Saskatchewan to start a family. A few years later moving to Yorkton Saskatchewan then to Edmonton where Jack enlisted with the military and the family grew to six with four boys in tow. When her marriage ended to Jack, Dorothy and her four boys moved to Brooks AB. where she met her second husband Laurier Fleury with whom Dot spent the next several years raising her family with.

"Gramma Dot" was known for her love of baking, flowers, gardening, dancing and everything to do with the royal family. To her, baking equalled love and when her grandchildren were coming to visit her home it was always filled with home baked goodies for them with fresh flower bouquets from her garden. Family holidays were not complete without the aroma of her famous pies and cookies all throughout the house.

Her greatest love was of her seven grandchildren that she spent time with every summer creating memories that last a lifetime. Although Dorothy was small in stature her personality was not, she was true to her convictions, larger than life itself and totally committed to family.

She led an active life helping with family businesses, driving trucks on the farm, riding ski-doos and atv's, hunting, skeet shooting, fishing, and raising a family.

She is survived by four sons Mark (Tracey), Kevin (Myrna), Wade (Wanda), Aaron (Jennifer); seven grandchildren Adam, Kaitlynn, Kayla, Jonathan, Drew, Courtney and Kirsten; Two great grandchildren Kinsley and Aaliyah; her sisters Judy, Kay, and Beth; and numerous nieces and nephews.
