Edward Allan "Al" McLennan passed away peacefully at his home at the age of 96 under the loving care of his caregiver Judith and her husband Chris.
He is survived by daughters Glenne (Schlitter) and Sheryl (Wynne) and son Ian, son-in-law Wayne Richardson, nephews Ryan. Kyle and Clark, and nieces Nicole and Lee and was predeceased by his loving wife of 60 years, Joyce, daughter Susan (Richardson) and son Rod.
He was born in Bracken, Saskatchewan and grew up during the Depression. He served in the navy at the end of WW2 and, with the help of the VA Bill, graduated from U. of Alberta. After a career in the oil business he retired to Vernon. He was a long time member of the Vernon Golf Club and, at the time, the Vernon Club.
He and Joyce spent summers golfing and winters skiing with many adventures in between. He led a wonderful life and he enjoyed it to the max. He was a kind and generous man and will be missed. Personally, he was my rock.
