Eileen Hammett

Eileen Hammett passed away peacefully in her sleep on August 26, 2019 at the age of 82. She is survived by her son Leslie David Hammett, and daughter Sara (Brian) de Jong, and her grandchildren Mitchell, Kristen and Tyler de Jong. Eileen was predeceased by her husband of 38 years, Leslie John Hammett, on April 2, 2006.
Eileen had been a resident of Vernon since 1974. She worked as a nurse at Vernon Jubilee Hospital as well as a night nurse at the Army Cadet Camp. She volunteered with Girl Guides for many years as well as giving her time and energy to many other charities.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday September 7, 2019 at 11 am at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church in Coldstream.
