It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of Ethel Laura Purnell on August 31, 2019. She passed away peacefully in Salmon Arm at the age of 91. Ethel was born in Cardston Alberta on August 10, 1928 (3rd child of Otto and Laura Sommerfeldt). She will be remembered for her great love of life, family and a testimony of a Heavenly Father who loved her and all mankind.
Ethel is survived by her 5 children Myrna Isackson (the late Maurice Isackson), Delmar Purnell (Coleen Beliveau), Gary Purnell (Sandy Zyp), Della Schnell (Mike), Kevin Purnell (Pamela Robinson) 3 sisters Donna Takahashi, Roma Kennedy, Verna Sommerfeldt and one brother Lynn Sommerfeldt. She was predeceased by her husband Moval Purnell. Ethel and Val have left a family legacy of 20 grandchildren and 46 great grandchildren.
